The European Experience # 29

My blog is becoming less and less about what is universal and more and more about me.

Where ever I go, there I will be.

OR

The individual is universal.

is the individual universal? or is that a western attitude? in many places the community is universal. maybe both are universal? but not in the same way... so perhaps not.

I am not sure if I can say individuality is universal as what we think about individuality may be different than someone in India, or from someone who lived in Canada 150 years ago. People in the past are different from us because they thought differently than we do. That said, I have always liked what Jill Scott cleverly says about being an individual, being alone in the world.

One is the Magic #

If multiply 2 x 2 is it really 4 me?
And if I add 5 to get 9 - 8 that just leaves me.
So many times I defined my pride through somebody else’s eyes,
then I looked inside and found my own stride, I found a lasting love for me.
If I am searching for my spirituality passionately, I must begin with me.
There's just me, 1 is the magic number.

If I add myself on to myself, multiply times you and yours, and you again, there’s just me.
If I divide 8 billion, 48 trillion, 98 zillion there is just me.
If subtract 1 + 3 to the fifth degree, use any theorem, there's just me.

How do I begin to tell you how revolution begins?
It beings with 1.
If you want to make a change in this world, in your life, start by looking in the mirror.
1 is the magic number.

Let me know if you get this, sometimes I think I leave a comment and you don't receive it.
